Red Hill Studios partnered with the Biological Sciences Curriculum Study to develop a series of innovative, educational web activities about rare diseases and the connections between medicine and evolution.

One activity, called Evoprint, lets students discover the ‘legacy’ DNA that is shared by many different types of animals. For example, the genes that control blood chemistry are nearly identical – whether they come from a person, a horse, or a rat. These ‘genetic’ diamonds not only demonstrate how evolution has shaped the human genome but also reveal clues to how the same genes can function across all living organisms.
