Balance Games for Cerebral Palsy

Red Hill Studios and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) developed a prototype of an interactive, home-based gait and balance therapy program to help children with CP maintain or improve their overall functional status and decrease morbidity.

Our computer-based, therapeutic program for children with cerebral palsy includes movements that are based on existing therapy methods that have proven effective in maintaining and improving gait and balance in children with CP. The program detects changes in the player’s weight distribution and movements and provides feedback within the videogame.
